Spend your days building sandcastles, taking surf lessons, relaxing by the pool, competing in a family ping pong tournament, visiting a local school, and hiking to a waterfall where we’ll all jump in to cool off. Blending the laid-back rhythm of beach-town life with meaningful cultural experiences, this itinerary is designed to help you connect with the coastal culture of El Salvador.
A great way for first-time travellers to dip their toes into Worldschooling, this is a beautiful setting with comfortable amenities. San Juan's Easter (Semana Santa) traditions involve families and businesses from around town making sawdust, dying it and using it to decorate the street with intricate stencils, flowers, fruits and vegetables.
The community gathers for this incredible art collaboration that is then walked over during the Good Friday evening procession.
People of all backgrounds and denominations are brought together to observe as the entire town reflects on the past year, grace, repentance, and what could be done better to live a more righteous life.
