WOMENS HIKING EVENT
November Ladies Trip 2024 Memories!
This was a trip chalk-full of adventure, learning, and activities but also gave participants the downtime necessary to connect as a group with plenty of blocks of time to stroll through San Juan La Laguna and Antigua.
The trip started off beautifully as the ladies arrived to San Juan to a fantastic evening of live local music at the accommodations and a charcuterie spread to remember! Hikes on this trip included the iconic "Indian Nose" peek for sunrise that overlooks Lake Atitlan and of course, Acatenango, just an hour out of Antigua for an incredible front row view of one of the world's most active volcanoes, the neighboring Fuego.
Here are some great photos, many taken by the participating women showing some of the highlights of the trip! This was one AMAZING group of women that worked hard and played hard, their efforts rewarded with incredible views and lasting connections.

Here's what some of the ladies had to say about their trip!
My Guatemalan Adventure with Culture Chalk exceeded my expectations in every way. I am both humbled and enriched by the kindness, the love, the generosity and the resilience of the community along lake Atitlan and of our hosts, the Dargatz family. Learning about the history, culture, traditions and challenges of the region sparked a thirst for more knowledge and a desire to become part of solutions if even in the smallest way. I am in awe of the beauty and colorfulness of the traditional textiles and crafts abundant throughout the region. The hike to Acatenango base camp was challenging and amazing! Witnessing the power of natural forces was a thrill. The ruins of ancient architecture in Antigua are fascinating and I hope to visit more in another trip. And the FOOD! Owen and Christina truly provided a unique and fulfilling experience, one that will be cherished for a lifetime!
